nutshell

Today I waved to a dog
Last night I ate a kebab
This morning I hugged my mum
Yesterday I put too much chili in the guacamole
Earlier, I cried during Junior Masterchef
Two nights ago left me hungover and uncertain
Tonight I realised I'll never be certain
A few days ago I decided I'll write a book
On Monday I made my sporting comeback
Ten minutes ago I heard a possum on the roof
Ten seconds ago I my moved my left knee
 Tomorrow I'll be working
 The day after I'll...
Soon they'll find the lost boy

San Fermin

to watch someone get seriously injured, & later find out they've died, is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever experienced. this happens at San Fermin (Pamplona/The Running of the Bulls) most days.

Runners end up in the Main Arena at the final point of the course. Arrive too early
(before the bulls) & you'll probably get something (bungas, crackers, bottles, fruit) thrown at you.

The massive bulls are the ones which run the course through the city.
When the run's finished, the runners stay in the arena & four or five
crazy young bulls are let loose in the arena one at a time.
They're the ones to watch out for.

Aim to be picked up clean between the horns longways. Not like this. If it's got you down on the ground for too long, the other guys in the arena will try & get you free by distracting the bull & pulling you out. Sometimes the bulls get smart & run around the sides of the ring cleaning up all the people playing it safe with their horns. Its considered quite frowned upon for girls to run but a few do it anyway.. Just dont be suprised if something gets thrown at you. And don't try & ride the bull's back or the Spanish will beat you up.

Presenting my dearest friend Sarah Macready. We took these photos just this week around Avoca Beach.

Coolest kid, Joe Engstrom, draws amazingly. This Deer postcard is one of his. Check out his stuff at http://joengstrom.carbonmade.com/
